Carmen Mirochna, a Rutgers University Alumni, former rowing coach at Lehigh University, Cornell University and Indiana University has come to Nexxt Level Sports to head our new indoor Rowing program.
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Rowing at Nexxt Level Sports is a multidisciplinary approach to high caliber fitness.  Whether you are a novice with zero experience or a well-seasoned rower, our program will utilize the erg (rowing machine) in conjunction with extensive cross training to meet your goals. Rowing indoors on the erg is compatible with every athlete from pre-high school to adults getting back into shape because it is by nature a low/no impact, high intensity workout that goes as far as you want to take it.  Youth and masters (age 21+) enjoy the benefits of a full body, well balanced workout with every stroke.  Those recovering from or prone to knee and back injuries often find that rowing suits them because the stroke is powered by the legs with zero lateral movement while the core (both abdominal and back muscles) is fully engaged to sustain the power of the stroke. When rowing, the body is protected by the utilization of balanced muscles allowing even the most advanced age athlete to prevent injury, sustain flexibility and most important push themselves.
